Three Become One Dominant Force 

Last Sunday Yama Arashi Ryu (Formally Clacton Judo Club)

Held their first contest of the New Year organised by Ray Goodey and Derrick Raper. This Mini Mon attracted 150 players from far and wide. Yamara Arashi partner clubs,

Harwich and Dovercourt Judo Club and  Judo Club joined forces.

To present a Strong United Tendering Force. The Tendering Team consisted of many players who this was their first competition took a total of 24 medals. outstanding fights from Mac Beales and Chris Thompson 5 wins each secured them the Silver medals in their respective weight groups.

Four players from a Judo Club that was only started last year took a haul of four medals a Silver from Hannah Mitchell and bronzes from the three boys Carl, Chris and Daniel. This was their first competition and overcoming their first competition nerves they produced excellent performances. Players from Harwich and Dovercourt Judo Club produced some outstanding results some players taking two medals one in each weight category an outstanding performance from Craig Cook in the U50 / U55 kg weight groups earned him two gold medals.

 

The Tendering Team in total took a medal haul of 24 medals in 14 weight groups. 

A Coach from one of the three clubs said, “That all the players fought brilliantly, all the coaching staff are pleased with the result. With continual training, support and the developmental plans in place the United Tendering Team will become a dominant force within the Northern Home Counties Area.

 ALSO Congratulations must go to Kevin Lock, Chris Long, Louis Scott, Tom Page, Micheal Miller, Lewis Pratt, Adam Jackson, Daniel Corneloues, Michael Pedder, Rachel Jackson, Hannah Adams, Georgina Deickens Hannah Shears, Natalie Bunyan and Lauren Jackman.For many of the TEAM  this was their first competition and the coaching team would like to say WELL DONE to you ALL.

All the coaching team are proud of how the players conducted themselves on and off the  mat.

Many thanks to players, parents, coach's and officials for your support at this years competition this has greatly helped Judo For All   to be in a position of holding the International Festival of Judo in October 2004 which includes able and Special Needs Judo players from all over Europe.
