Parents are encouraged to watch and sometimes
we involve then in the lesson. We work with parents with special
needs children who bring there children along to participate in Judo.

We have a strong involvement Internationally in
promoting Special Needs Judo and encouraging working together alongside able
players at the International Festival of Judo held at Clacton Leisure Centre
each October.

Tendring Judo which is made up of
a number of Judo Clubs that
work together in partnership to promote Judo on a voluntary basis working with
each other to arrange many joint activates.

Our lessons are fun which we actively encourage, but
also we mix in hard work we aim to build a family spirit in the Tendring Judo
clubs.

A safe training environment. Coaches are
Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checked and all coaches follow a continuing
professional development programme to revalidate their coaching qualifications.

We develop team work and to this
end we always encourage older members to help less experienced in lessons.
This helps build their confidence in their own abilities and understanding of
the Sprit of Judo which is a way of life.

We aim to provide worthwhile activity which
promotes a healthy lifestyle and education of everyday values, useful in today's
society through judo: respect, discipline friendship fun and fair play. The
positive gains are improved confidence, concentration, self-control, strength,
balance, coordination and self-esteem
